Vogue--2009 Rising Star Quartet Champions
(YWIH) program teaches emerging voices the skills, joy and rewards of performing and singing four-part harmony, barbershop style...
Young Women in Harmony delivers both musical excellence and education while it gives young women a taste of show business. This program provides educational tools to teach young women singers the joy of performing this American vocal music art form.
Region 7 sponsored its first annual Young Women In harmony Festival in September 2007. Approximately 75 young women registered for the program and approximately 58 participated. After a day of rehearsing, the women took the stage late Saturday afternoon to perform their "package." All agreed it was a fun filled day of music, laughter and education. New friendships were formed and all are anxious to participate in the future.
