2014 Holiday of Trees

"Tis the Season to Sing" was the theme for The Lincolnaire Chorus' December events. To help the local Heritage League raise money for iPad's for autistic children, the chorus joined 24 other Lincoln community organizations and agencies by decorating a themed Christmas tree for the annual Holiday of Trees two - day fundraising event. Each chorus member decorated an ornament resembling their own face to create a 9 ft. tree of singing faces, with additional silvery glittered music note ornaments and plenty of purple glitter branches and ribbon, the tree drew much attention. The chorus added to the festivities by performing during some of the viewing time.
The chorus also presented a free "Tis the Season to Sing" Christmas performance with donations accepted for the local Food Bank. Members dressed as carolers on a snowy Sunday afternoon to entertain with a variety of holiday favorites. Both events added to the chorus camaraderie and philanthropy as they shared some joy and love of singing.
